Waste Transfer and Recycling Station
Whether you have a bag full or a trailer load of waste, our efficient and affordable waste transfer and recycling station is here to help satisfy your waste disposal needs. Our £1m plus purpose built waste transfer station has been created to reduce the amount of waste that is disposed via landfill sites and to provide a recycling centre for the local community to dispose of their waste.
Our main depot in Newport has the capacity to sort and recycle over 30,000 tonnes of waste per annum reducing the carbon footprint of both GD Environmental and our customers. The station is located on the Felnex Industrial Estate near Newport’s Transporter Bridge just minutes off the M4 and on the outskirts of Newport town centre.
The site is licensed to safely dispose and recycle any of the following waste streams including:
- Asbestos
- Plasterboard
- Fridges
- Freezers
- Car Batteries
- Tyres
- Gas Cylinders
- Paint Tins (empty or full)
- Food Waste
- Fluorescent Tubes
- Liquids
- Television Sets
- Monitors and PCs
