GD Environmental was formed through the merger of Gwent Drains Ltd. and Marine and Industrial Services Ltd. in March 2004. The merger created a waste management and disposal organisation with over 35 years’ experience in the environmental services industry.

Since our launch we have developed a strong reputation for providing a high quality competitive service across Wales and the West Country. By September 2005 demand for our services had increased to such an extent that our premises were insufficient and we moved to our present site on the Felnex Industrial Estate in Newport. Since then our family oriented company has employed 24 new members of staff and purchased a fleet of new vehicles and specialist equipment.

Our latest venture is a £1m investment programme to develop a new recycling and waste transfer station licensed to sort through all forms of waste. Our target is to recycle 80% of the waste received, a percentage that would vastly reduce the quantity that goes to landfill sites.

Our current services include  

·         Wet and dry waste disposal and transfer

·         Drainage and CCTV drain surveys

·         Asbestos services

·         Waste transfer and recycling station

·         Specialist tank cleaning

·         Extrusion pipe welding and fabrication       

Much of the company’s success is due to the positive approach to growth of our Director James Norvill whose confidence and drive motivates everyone within the organisation. We are intensely proud of the progress that has been achieved in such a short period of time. The belief that anything is possible with hard work and commitment, together with meticulous forward planning will ensure the continuation of GD’s success. We have set ourselves ambitious but achievable targets for the future and our business plan remains to be the most successful Environmental Services company in Wales.
