Environmental and Sustainability policy
GD Environmental collect and process effluents from industrial and commercial customers, and operate an asbestos waste transfer station.
The management and all who work at GD Environmental are committed to providing the highest possible level of service in satisfying the requirements of our customers.
The organization ensures that all its activities are carried out in conformance with the relevant environmental legislation.
The primary activity is to collect and refine effluents and the secondary activity is to transfer this and asbestos waste to authorised disposal facilities. Controlled procedures and work instructions are followed by staff and monitored by management.
In its own internal operations GD Environmental seeks to minimise waste arisings, promote recycling, reduce energy consumption, reduce harmful emissions and, where possible, to work with suppliers who themselves have sound environmental polices.
An essential feature of the environmental management system is a commitment to improving environmental performance. This is achieved by setting annual environmental improvement objectives and targets which are regularly monitored and reviewed. The objectives and targets are publicised throughout the organisation and all staff are committed to their achievement.
In order to ensure the achievement of the above commitments, the organisation has implemented an environmental management system which satisfies the requirements of BS EN ISO 14001:1996
