As a licensed Hazardous and Non Hazardous waste carrier, GD Environmental has the capacity to extract, transfer and dispose of all forms of wet and dry waste. Our specialist vehicles and ADR drivers are licensed to carry all quantities of waste from a small test tube to an artic lorry load. To keep our customers costs to a minimum, GD Environmental operates an on site wet waste treatment facility which has the capacity to process over 5 million gallons of oil, waste oil, contaminated sludge’s and other hazardous substances per annum.
In addition to our hazardous waste treatment facility, GD Environmental also offers a green skip hire service across Wales and the West Country providing containers from 4 cubic yard skips to 50 yard roll on roll off bins and enclosed lockable skips when required. To assure we remain a market leader we strive to recycle in excess of 90% of all customers waste. This has been aided by a recent £3m investment into a waste transfer and recycling centre.
The transfer station which is located near the centre of Newport is licensed to segregate all forms of dry waste including wood, metal, plastic, hardcore, cardboard, paper, tyres and WEEE technologies. The centre is licensed to process over 24,000 tonnes of waste per annum and has efficient two way vehicle access to and from the station assuring minimum waiting time for customers who transport waste onto our site for processing. The station also offers a weighbridge system to monitor and record the high quantity of waste that is transferred into the site. As we understand the importance of waste minimization for our clients we make it our prerogative to support all clients with waste reduction advice and continue to invest heavily in finding new markets for recyclables, viewing landfill as a last resort.
With good access to the M4, GD Environmental is capable of providing swift response time to any emergencies that may occur in South Wales and the West Country. From our experience we understand the importance of reacting promptly to any emergency whether it’s controlling an oil or chemical spill, quarantining an incident with fly tipped waste or emptying over flowing toilet tanks. GD Environmental prides itself on being the company customers can depend on in an emergency to stop problems before they escalate into potentially serious disasters.
