GD Environmental Work within the community
GD Environmental Services understands its obligation to work with the local community to help reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfill and provide work opportunities to hungry individuals looking to better themselves.
Since GD began trading in 2003 the company has employed over 50 new employees to help support the company's expansion within the waste industry. To assure our staff remain the best within the waste industry we set aside an annual spend of over £500 per head on training.
To raise awareness of green issues in Wales and to help combat the problem of fly tipping within local communities, GD Environmental has put together a specialist team called the Carbon Neutrals whom are quickly becoming the sexy fresh new face of recycling in Wales.
In 2007 the team were responsible for successfully recycling over 5000 dropped plastic pint glasses at the Millennium Stadium during the Rugby World Cup in 2008. Without the help of our dedicated Carbon Neutral team these glasses would have ended up in a landfill site. This project continues to grow in 2008 please see the Carbon Neutrals website for more details.
